Our Facilitators
The facilitators are experienced professionals in the fields of education, social work, and engineering. They have provided STF workshops for over 10 years. Combined, they have meaningfully impacted over 1000 families of the Early Identification Program.
Student Experience
The Strengthening the Family program component explores issues that adolescents face, such as self-advocacy, effective communication, understanding family dynamics, and appreciation of parents. In addition, STF explores cultural diversity and helps students understand and navigate a multicultural environment. Students learn the safe and responsible use of social media such as Facebook and Twitter.
Parent Experience
The Strengthening the Family program component stresses the role of parental involvement in their child’s secondary education experience. Families have the opportunity to explore issues such as peer pressure and self-image. Parents have the opportunity to learn and share effective methods of communication with their children. Parents also learn the role that social media plays in their students learning and overall socialization. In addition, parents will learn how to support their students as they pursue college.

10th Grade Families
